  9.       rcsdiff - compare RCS    revisions

  11.      SYNOPSIS
  12.       rcsdiff [ -biwt ] [ -cefhn ] [ -q ] [    -rrev1 ] [ -rrev2 ]
  13.       file ...

  15.      DESCRIPTION
  16.       Rcsdiff runs diff(1) to compare two revisions    of each    RCS
  17.       file given.  A file name ending in ',v' is an    RCS file name,
  18.       otherwise a working file name. Rcsdiff derives the working
  19.       file name from the RCS file name and vice versa, as
  20.       explained in co(1L).    Pairs consisting of both an RCS    and a
  21.       working file name may    also be    specified.

  23.       The options -b, -i, -w, -t, -c, -e, -f, and -h, have the
  24.       same effect as described in diff(1); option -n generates an
  25.       edit script of the format used by RCS.  The option -q
  26.       suppresses diagnostic    output.

  28.       If both rev1 and rev2    are omitted, rcsdiff compares the
  29.       latest revision on the default branch    (normally the highest
  30.       branch on the    trunk) with the    contents of the    corresponding
  31.       working file.    This is    useful for determining what you
  32.       changed since    the last checkin.

  34.       If rev1 is given, but    rev2 is    omitted, rcsdiff compares
  35.       revision rev1    of the RCS file    with the contents of the
  36.       corresponding    working    file.

  38.       If both rev1 and rev2    are given, rcsdiff compares revisions
  39.       rev1 and rev2    of the RCS file.

  41.       Both rev1 and    rev2 may be given numerically or symbolically,
  42.       and may actually be attached to any of the options.

  44.      EXAMPLES
  45.       The command
  46.  
  47.           rcsdiff  f.c
  48.  
  49.       runs diff on the latest revision on the default branch of
  50.       RCS file f.c,v and the contents of working file f.c.
  51.  
  52.      DIAGNOSTICS
  53.       The exit status is 0 if there    were no    differences during the
  54.       last comparison, 1 if    there were differences,    and 2 if there
  55.       were errors.
